Are you and your children vaccinated against Measles, Mumps and Rubella?

8 May 2023

There have recently been confirmed cases of measles circulating in the North West - so it's important to make sure your family's vaccinations are up to date.

The MMR vaccine is safe, effective and protects against these 3 highly infectious conditions.

Getting vaccinated is important, as these conditions can spread easily amongst unvaccinated people and lead to serious problems including meningitis, hearing loss and problems during pregnancy.

To find out more about the MMR vaccine and when children and adults should get theirs, please visit the NHS website or speak to your GP: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/mmr-vaccine/

If you or any of your children have not had 2 doses of the MMR vaccine, please ask your GP surgery for a vaccination appointment.
