Information on temporary stopping places - Middleton Common, Sedbergh

Middleton Common is situated next to the A683 between Middleton and Sedbergh just under 30 miles from Appleby (click here for map).
The common has spaces for around 15 units and toilets and skips will be provided.
Arrivals are welcome from 23 May to 2 June and 6 June to June 13 (closing at 1200hrs). Temporary signs will also display arrival and departure dates. Arrivals are welcome from May 24th to June 3rd and June 10th to June 17th. Temporary signs will also display arrival and departure dates.
There will also be regular visits from environmental health and police officers for the duration of the temporary stopping period.

This will activate the duty officer’s pager. There will be a response to all messages. However, this number is for emergencies only. Other calls will be dealt with appropriately e.g. a call to advise of early arrival of travellers would result in a visit by officers on the next working day.
